The development of a world class creative and digital business sector has the potential to create up to 10,000 jobs and add £170 million to the regional economy, with additional benefits throughout the Northwest. (NWDA, 2007)
The creative industries are now recognised as being crucial to the on-going development of the knowledge-based economy. With characteristics such as high-added value and rapid growth, they are a vital and exciting key sector in the North West.
CrISP Cheshire & Warrington is part of the creative industries partnership(CIPS) for the North West, aimed at supporting and enhancing the growth and development of the creative and digitial industries in Cheshire & Warrington. The other CIPS in the North West are Creative Lancashire; Manchester CIDS and Merseyside ACME.
